The Adirondack Marathon Distance Festival is one of, if not the, best small town marathons. It is well organized, challenging, run on a beautiful course, and supported by friendly and encouraging volunteers. The 2015 Adirondack Marathon Distance festival will take place on September 26th and 27th.
On Saturday, September 26, 2015 the 5K, 10K and Kids Fun Run races start at 9:30 a.m. at the Town Hall on Rt. 9 in Chestertown. Both races are run on paved streets through the heart of the village.
On Sunday, September 27, 2015 the Marathon and Relays will start at 9 a.m. in the town of Schroon. The race starts on Main Street (US Route 9) in the town of Schroon and heads north. Runners will complete one full loop around Schroon Lake on paved roadways (except for one half-mile stretch of gravel road in mile 3).
On Sunday, September 27, 2015 the Half Marathon starts 10 a.m., at the 13.1-mile marker of the full-marathon course.
